Tournament Info

• Captains meeting to be held at 7:30pm on Thursday June 26th at the Milwharf Restaurant at the Bar on the second story. After Party/Awards at TKs at 1:00.

Rules:

• NEW FOR 2025!!

                     - To change it up slightly this year, you will take the                   

                         TOTAL inches of your 3 Biggest fish. Biggest total wins!  

• Open to anyone!! (Limit 20 boats)
• Charter vessels must inquire (email Nick@unpluggedoutfitters.com)
• Boat only
• $400 buy in - PAYMENT DUE JUNE 6th (if you don't pay, you don't play)
• Due to boats dropping out last minute in recent years, there will be a NO REFUND POLICY. 
• Rapala 60 in. Magnum Folding Tournament ruler included, if you participate in the SSSI please use same ruler
• Tournament apparel will be available for purchase
• Cash, check or Venmo only for buy in (mail check to 36 otis place scituate 02066. Personal check must be made out to "Nick Perfetuo".) Please include Boat name and captain in envelope. 
• Start/End Times and Ports - Friday, June 27th
  You must depart from Scituate Harbor, the North/South River,  Green Harbor or Cohasset Harbor. 
• IF YOUR HOME PORT IS NOT ONE OF THESE LOCATIONS, you must secure a way to depart from one of the above ports OR request an exception which may require a delayed start time.
  TOURNAMENT BEGINS AT 4:30AM.  You cannot leave the mouth of your harbor before 4am.
  TOURNAMENT ENDS AT NOON. Lines must be out of the water at noon.
• Boundaries:
  East Boundary:  All of Cape Cod Bay to the Golf Ball.
  North Boundary: Rockport Harbor

General Rules

• Obviously, you have to catch fish within the set time, this includes live bait. (dead bait can be purchased prior)
  A maximum of FOUR lines in the water at any point in the tournament.
• Only one fish can be landed at a time
  You and your crew are responsible for each angler having a valid MA saltwater fishing license.  All fish must be caught in legal water.  All state, federal, and local laws must be followed.

Measurements:
All fish must be measured with the Rapala Tournament Ruler. Fish incorrectly measured will not be counted.
Ruler must be under the fish.  Measure from the tip of the jaw/snout (mouth closed) to the farthest extremity of the tail.  The jaw firmly contacts to zero mark on the ruler. And the upper and lower fork of the tail must be squeezed together to measure the tail. If it is suspected you are bending the rules or measurements, you will be disqualified and not refunded. KEEP IT HONEST!

Take a picture with a VISIBLE RULER MEASUREMENT and text it to the following number: 617 285 2812.  Include the number of inches, rounded to the nearest 1/4” and your vessel name.

Only submit a single picture per fish.  Last picture accepted at 12:05pm.  If you are out of service, this is not an excuse, you should know the waters and where your phone gets service.

• Leader Board
  A leaderboard will be emailed or texted periodically throughout the tournament.
  The leaderboard should not be considered the official results.  Official results will be determined after validating the photos post 12pm.
• Prizes - Amounts TBD
  First Place:  3 biggest fish TOTAL
  Second Place: 3 biggest fish TOTAL
  Third Place: 3 biggest fish TOTAL

              Fourth Place: TBD (not a cash prize)

Side bets and such are encouraged but will NOT be run by Unplugged Outfitters.

This tournament is meant to be fun and inviting way to get out on the water for some friendly competition! Please keep it honest and let the best fish win!

All participants of the Unplugged Outfitters Scituate Harbor Shootout enter at their own risk. Tournament organizers, members, volunteers and any personnel connected directly or indirectly with the operation of Unplugged shall be exempt from liability for loss, damage, negligence, harm, or injury suffered to any participant, entrant, angler, guest, crew member,  vessels, equipment which may occur during the tournament.  You understand that the SHS may involve hazardous conditions.  It is the sole responsibility of the participants to check marine forecasts and decide if conditions are safe for your crew and vessel.  

I, Nick Perfetuo (tournament organizer) will be fishing this tournament to the best of my ability. I will not be apart of any judgments. There will be a judge determining the leader board and tie breakers if there are any.

Any form of cheating will not be tolerated and will result in a permanent ban from any and all future Unplugged Outfitters Tournaments.
